teaching methodsonacademicperformanceofsecondaryschoolstudentsin
FinancialAccountinginKogiState.Thestudyadoptedaquasi-experimentaldesign,
specifically,thepre-test,post-testnon-equivalentcontrolgroup.Atotalof1864
students offering financialaccounting in seniorsecondary schools in three
senatorialdistrictsofKogiStateformedthepopulationofthestudy.From the
populationofthestudy,146studentswereselectedassampleusingpurposive
samplingtechnique.Threeseniorsecondaryschoolswerepurposivelyselectedand
randomlyassignedtoexperimentalgroupsandcontrolgroup.CommunitySecondary
School,OdekeandMuslim CommunitySecondarySchoolLokoja(experimental
groups)whileGovernmentDaySecondarySchool,Ihima(controlgroup).Thedata
collectionperiodlastedforfiveweeksusingFinancialAccountingAchievementTest
(FAAT)whichcomprisedwellplannedlessonplansontheselectedtopicsbasedon
thethreemethodsofteaching.Theinstrumentfordatacollectionwas20-items
